How is a catastrophic injury settlement calculated when injuries are lifelong?

What if the at-fault party's insurance isn't enough to cover all my expenses?

This happens often in catastrophic cases because the costs frequently exceed standard policy limits. We look for additional sources of recovery: the at-fault party's umbrella policy, your own underinsured motorist (UIM) coverage if a vehicle was involved, employer liability if the at-fault party was working, and any other potentially liable parties we can identify through investigation.
